Dustin’s Original Chili (S) (BACK TO TOP)


Ingredients:

-3lbs. of ground beef, preferably 80/20 meat mix
-2 cans of Original Rotel
-2 11.5oz. cans of Campbell’s Tomato Juice
-1 29oz. can of tomato sauce
-1 5oz. can of tomato paste
-1 can of black beans
-1 can of dark red kidney beans
-1 tbsp. of minced garlic
-2 tsp. of salt
-2 tsp. of ground black pepper
-2 tbsp. of chili powder
-1 tbsp. of ground cumin
-2 tbsp. of onion powder
-2 tsp. of chipotle powder
-1 tbsp. of Garlic Salt
-2 packets of McCormick Original Chili Powder
-1 finely chopped jalapeño

Directions:

Brown the hamburger meat in a large pot. You can drain the grease from it or keep cooking it until it is gone. Next add all the spices and canned ingredients. Bring it to a boil then reduce the heat to a simmer and cover. A secret to a great tasting chili is to slow cook it. I let my chili simmer for around 2 hours. Be sure to stir every now and then.
